Final Post [Oct. 30th, 2006|01:27 pm]
It's been a good long while since I started posting in this journal, and it's been interesting to archive things I've considered important over the years. Unfortunately I don't see much of a reason to contribute to this anymore, so off I go.

Going to keep the account up for my own personal reflection, because I'm good enough, smart enough-- Yeah, no more updates for me. Take care folks.

Hands on the Wii [Oct. 15th, 2006|12:16 am]
As if the sexual inneudos couldn't get any more obvious, I was actually able to get my hands on the Wii console today at the Nintendo Fusion tour here in my town. Although there were some bands playing, or so at least I think there were, my main focus of the event was to try the new system.

To my dismay, they were not allowing photography, so all of the hilarious motion sensing moments were not recorded in history. You know, this is probably for the best, because I actually did the Hula, and I'd hate for that to get out into the general public.

My home internet is down again. I may be without for a while. I don't personally feel like paying a company for this level of quality service anymore, and there aren't anymore high-speed vendors in my immediate area.

Podcasting [Sep. 22nd, 2006|09:44 am]
As long as I've had my iPod, I've never actually messed with itunes past the base level of "feed me seymore" it requires to store your CD's to it. Now that the new version 1.7 is out, and saw that nifty looking "flip book/juke box" layout, I felt it necessary to see what else it could do.

In that searching, I discovered that every radio show of Lex and Terry is available for download, free, and I can download it to my iPod every night. Listening to it right now as we speak.

Schweet.

Pwii-Orders (I know... shoot me now) [Sep. 20th, 2006|08:23 am]
Seems as though Electronic Boutique (Gamestop, Babages, etc) are not taking traditional pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii. Very frustrating, considering I had my $25 in hand to hold my system yesterday.

Instead, they appear to be starting some new 'hybrid' form of recycling inventory. If you trade in $50 worth of stuff, you can pre-order the Wii.

Yeah.

Weak.

Fuck Compass Bank [Sep. 18th, 2006|04:12 pm]
After about, oh, 2 months of waiting for a replacement check card, I finally get one shipped fedex to me. The kicker? They forgot to include the replacement PIN number for activation.

FUCK COMPASS BANK.

I feel better.

Wii-ly Excited! [Sep. 14th, 2006|08:11 am]
Finally the Nintendo Wii has an official launch date and price. We'll find out all the state-side specific details at 9am, but the news that has already been released is more than enough to rev up the savings account for a future dink.

Release Date: November 19th, 2006
Price: $249.99
Includes: Wii Console, 1 Free Hand Controller, 1 'Nun-Chuck' Attachment, 1 Sensor Bar, and 1 Copy of Wii Sports!

They're promising a list of 20-30 games before the end of the year, and for once North and South America will be the first Continents to get their hands on a Nintendo Product!

There's plenty of news leaking around already, but the best I've seen so far is a mock up of the Nintendo Meeting, complete with videos that were ran at the Japanese press release. Definitely worth checking out! Yes, that's not english, but use your spidey sense to navigate if you're like me and can't read the language. There's all kinds of great information/visuals/videos in that presentation.

In addition, the console's peripherals will carry relatively expected price tags (Classic Controller $20, Freehand Controller $40, Nun'Chunk $20, etc.) and there is also a point system, a-la Xbox Live, to purchase games through Nintendo's "Virtual Console" system.

All in all, it looks like I'm going to be BROKE this holiday season.

I do not link you to this website due to the cute factor (cough, kim, cough). I link you for the simple premise of an EPIC WAR OF KITTENS!

...Steven Colbert recommended it...
